AN END
It was windier than usual,
I looked out the kitchen window and the sky was full.
All the planets so close, so big,
Racing nearer, tearing apart the sky.
I left immediately striding out,
All emotion and desire fell away.
I ran through the thin hot air up the hill,
Reaching the grassy peak there was no noise.
The top was tranquil, overlooking the ocean.
Sinking into a chair I gazed out at the beauty before me;
The swollen, cracked planets seconds from the surface.
I breathed out a final breath and the ripple hit.
